Pioneering designer Louis Cartier imagined the Tortue watch, a tortoise-inspired shape, in 1912. At a time when all watches were round, the groundbreaking design went on to become a classic. Cartier offers both ladies’ and men’s models in a full range of styles, available in gold, at times set or fully paved with diamonds.

Tortue watch, small model, mechanical Manufacture movement with manual winding, caliber 8970 MC. Case in 18K rhodium-finish white gold, octagonal crown set with a faceted sapphire, silvered guilloché dial with sunray effect, sword-shaped hands in blued steel, strap in black alligator skin, ardillon buckle in 18K rhodium-finish white gold, water-resistant to 30 meters. Case dimensions: 30 mm x 24 mm, thickness: 7.3 mm.
